A sustainable, waste free Christmas!
Christmas is coming, and while we are super excited for this special time of year, it also breaks our hearts at the amount of waste that is produced for one day of celebrations. Our planet more than ever needs our help, and so we have compiled some ideas that can help you have a more sustainable Christmas!
1. Decorations
All the shops will be selling plastic decorations but you don't need plastic. Get creative and make your own decorations, or use flowers or beautiful ceramics.
These rosemary wreaths are so cute by Spoon fork Bacon and these ceramic star ornaments from Hanging rock studio. We also have some cute downloadable decorations here that the kids will love.

2. Gifts
We love our kids, and we always want to give them the whole world. But reality is kids usually love a toy for a minute and then move onto the next. Try buying gifts that encourage children to appreciate it is a special gift, something to treasure, something that they genuinely need or with experiences or activities.
For adults, a Secret Santa is a great way to receive something you actually need or would like and allows you to save some pennies rather than having to buy a present for everyone in the family. Experiences over gifts always go a long way! What kind of adult wouldn't love a gig ticket, spa treatment or wine tasting experience?
3. Baking
Bake from bulk food plastic free, un-pre packaged stuff. It will be a lot healthier making your own. There are plenty of bliss ball, cookie or cake recipes online!
