LUXEY RECIPES | Mint, Lime & Strawberry Tea
We often talk about our coffee lovers community but this recipe is for our tea lovers - we know you are out there!
Spring and the warm weather are here! That means that we were thirsty for some iced tea recipes. But it doesn't mean that you can't have this one as hot tea as well.
The base of this recipe is Green and Peppermint tea. Green tea is an amazing coffee substitute as it provides a good dose of caffeine to get your day going. And combining peppermint to green tea will help improve your digestion, freshen your breath and boost concentration.
Is it possible to think about spring and hot weather without thinking of lime beverages? Lime juice is a great addition to teas and even plain water to help you reach your daily water intake. It is a healthy addition that will boost vitamin C and antioxidants in your system - improving your digestion, hydrating your body and rejuvenating your skin.
2 sachets of organic green tea
15 leafs of peppermint
4 big sliced strawberries
Juice from one lime
1/2 cup of sugar (we used coconut sugar)
1.5L spring water
- Add the water, green tea and mint leafs into a heat-proof jug and boil it.
- Remove it from heat and pour over all other ingredients and leave to infuse for 2 min.
- Leave to infuse in the fridge for 6-8 hours for iced tea.
